Incorporating Pulses into Everyday Meals

With the new Canada's Food Guide and increased interest/demand for plant based sources of protein, more and more people are interested in pulses like beans, peas, lentils and chickpeas.
What’s interesting, though, is that many people are not aware that Alberta is a major supplier of pulses or do not know or feel comfortable preparing pulses to eat. This session will provide essential information about Alberta's pulse industry as well as cooking and preparing pulses and the health and environmental benefits of including pulses in every day meals.
