Little Warriors is pleased to be piloting our *NEW* Canadian child sexual abuse prevention workshop Prevent It! in Edmonton. These workshops are FREE for participants to attend* Prevent It! Workshop Developed by researchers at the University of Alberta, this revolutionary Canadian prevention workshop will educate adults to TAKE ACTION through gaining knowledge to help prevent and respond to child sexual abuse. Experts estimate 1 in 3 girls and 1 in 6 boys will experience sexual abuse; 95% of those children know their perpetrator. 95% of cases go unreported. In order for the Prevent It! workshop to be research based, the research needs to be conducted and results gathered. In September and October 2014, workshop participants will be asked to be a part of the research study. As there needs to be a 90 day follow up piece to the research, the research will be concluded by February 1st, 2015. From November 2014-February 2015 we will not be offering prevention workshops while the research study is underway. Once the research has been concluded and analyzed, we hope to launch Prevent It!
