Abnormalities in body composition such as low muscle mass and high body fat are prevalent and important predictors of health. Dr. Prado’s research shows the need for including these measures of body composition in nutritional assessments of individuals. This lecture will discuss the importance of muscle mass and how food and nutrition can be optimized to prevent/reverse its loss.
