Tricia Meaud – Professional Human Ecologist

Meaud, Tricia Tricia started her Human Ecology program in her home town when she took her first year at Red Deer College and then transferred to the University of Alberta. She graduated in 2002 with her BSc in Human Ecology majoring in Consumer Studies and shortly after completing her practicum with Alberta Agriculture she was asked to join them in Market Research and Project Management. She is now working with Agriculture and Food Council as an Agri-Industry Development Officer.

Back at home, Tricia continues her involvement in modern and jazz dance with the occasional class in ballet. It has been a few years since she and 20 friends went to dance in Disneyland; now she dances with the U of A Alumni in more local venues. As a Professional Human Ecologist, Tricia reminds us that there are a lot of new Human Ecologists coming up that are interested in AHEA. They look forward to the opportunity to learn from the professionals in the organization and can see the different aspects where a Human Ecology perspective fits today. Like Tricia, their enthusiasm to join in helping to promote the profession and to help individuals and family improve the quality of their life is infectious. Tricia is currently the Director of Communications for AHEA.
